Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University, has been announced as a lead sponsor for Growth Investment Network East Midlands.

Growth Investment is a network of investors and professional firms which aims to encourage investment in small businesses in the East Midlands.

Nottingham Business School runs professional courses and executive development programmes across the world, and its experience in the small and medium sized business sector has led to the new partnership.

Professor Clare Brindley, professor of marketing and entrepreneurship at Nottingham Business School, said: “We deliver business management education at all levels, with experienced academics providing strategic business consultancy, applied research, executive coaching and mentoring and short courses to the SME market.

“Adding our academic expertise to Growth Investment’s existing membership of advisers creates an abundant resource for the region’s SMEs to tap into and we look forward to bridging the gap between academia and business together.”

Toby Reid, operations director at Growth Investment, said: “We already have a considerable network of people that SMEs can tap into to take their business to the next level, whether it is for funding or more generic growth issues. However, this new partnership with Nottingham Business School takes our offering further still and I look forward to working with them to maximise the benefits for all parties.”
