HSBC recruits new commercial director
HSBC Commercial Banking has appointed Martin Hanson as area commercial director for Derbyshire. Hanson will manage a team of 16 and is to provide banking support to businesses with turnover between £2m and £25m.
Hanson has 20 years’ experience in banking and more than 10 years’ experience in leadership roles in the Midlands.
He said: “ I am looking forward to getting back to working with Midlands businesses and the local professional community, following a brief spell away from the area for the past year.
“The economic environment has certainly presented challenges to businesses in the region, but innovative and thinking businesses are still focused on future growth. My team and I are looking forward to engaging with and supporting local businesses across all sectors, from agriculture through to manufacturing, to take advantage of opportunities presented by the upturn.
"I particularly look forward to working with David Stevenson, HSBC’s newly appointed international commercial manager in Derbyshire, to help our customers look to new markets for growth.”
