Consultation launched on Mablethorpe development
A public consultation is underway for a 30-acre redevelopment in Mablethorpe , Lincolnshire. Developer LB Mablethorpe will ask for feedback on 20 and 21 October.
The scheme in Golf Road will include 240 affordable homes, a food store and recreation and play areas.
LB Mablethorpe believes the development will create 200 long-term jobs, along with hundreds during construction.
Paul McSorley, of LB Mablethorpe, said: “We have been working on a detailed feasibility for Golf Road over the last two years and have discussed the possibility of this mixed use development with the local authority and local agencies.
"We believe that this scheme would facilitate investment in Mablethorpe which would mark a catalyst for change for people in the area."
LB Mablethorpe is a joint venture between The Lindum Group and Breheny Civil Engineers and has been in discussions with East Lindsey District Council, Mablethorpe and Sutton Town Council and Lincolnshire County Council for several years.
