Bruntwood buys Kennedy Tower

Share | |

Commercial property company Bruntwood has purchased Kennedy Tower in Birmingham city centre for an undisclosed fee. The tower, also known as Snow Hill Plaza, was put on the market earlier this year following the demise of its owner, Kenmore Property Group.

The 20-storey property is located in Birmingham’s Snow Hill area, and is serviced office specialist Bruntwood’s third purchase in the city centre.

Cobbetts was appointed as legal adviser and Knight Frank acted on Bruntwood’s behalf.

In 2006, Kenmore bought the encompassing site, 1 Snow Hill Plaza, from commercial property investment company Abstract Land. It purchased the building which included Kennedy Tower and the Thistle Hotel for about £21m. Twenty-one companies in the Edinburgh-based Kenmore group entered administration in November last year. The company managed about £1bn worth of investments from around the world.

Manchester-based Bruntwood owns and manages 90 properties in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester.
