East Mids duo make IoD final
Two East Midlands businessmen have been named among the top three in the SME and large company categories of the Institute of Directors' (IoD) national "Director of the Year" UK Finals held in London.
Mark Box, managing director of Rieke Packaging Systems (East Midlands) in Leicester, was one of the two people highly commended in the competition in the "Director of SME" category and Stephen Martin, chief executive of Clugston Group in North Lincolnshire, highly commended in the "Director of a Large Company" category.
Congratulating the two successful finalists from the region, Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands regional director, said: "It is great to have two such good regional companies and their high calibre leaders recognised in what was a very tough national competition."
This is the inaugural year of the "Director of the Year" Awards UK Final. On Thursday 14 October, the East Midlands "Director of the Year" and "Young Director of the Year" will also be announced at the Business Leaders Dinner in Nottingham.
