Mansell awarded £3.2m contract
The western region of construction company Mansell has been awarded a building contract worth more than £3m for a new neighbourhood centre in Coventry.
The £3.2m contract is for a centre in Whitaker Road, Allesley. The new development will adjoin the existing Allesley Park medical centre and the Wilfred Spencer day centre.
A new two-storey mixed use building will incorporate the expansion of the existing GP surgery, a new pharmacy, a community library, additional clinical space and a sunken garden.
Phased work includes demolishing an existing building, constructing the new facilities, internal fitting out and landscaping.
The project has been commissioned by CareCapital and is due for completion by autumn 2011. The western region of Mansell is based in Stourbridge.
