Nelsons reveals new corporate team
East Midlands’ law firm Nelsons has introduced a new corporate team to its Derby office. The team of three will be led by director David Kaplan.
The new team, which joins Nelsons from Derby-based law firm Keelys, comprises Kaplan as well as solicitor Davinder Patara and consultant Julia Brown.
Although the team has experience of advising businesses across a broad range of sectors, Kaplan specialises in advising healthcare businesses and will continue to represent a key clients, care provider Rushcliffe Care Group, based in Loughborough.
The team formerly worked together at Flint Bishop in Derby.
Kaplan said: “I know I can speak on behalf of my colleagues as well as myself when I say that we are all delighted to be a part of the continued development of Nelsons’ corporate practice. Nelsons has a great team of people and we’re looking forward to working closely with our new colleagues on a whole host of exciting projects.”
Nelsons has offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham.
Nelsons’ chief executive, Tim Hastings, said: “The addition of the new team is part of the firm’s vision to grow the Nelsons offering both in Derby and across the East Midlands, consolidating its position as a heavyweight player in the field of corporate law. David, Davinder and Julia represent a formidable team and we are delighted that they are joining us to further their careers.”
