Portmeirion signs multi-million pound Lloyds deal
Portmeirion, the pottery giant based in Stoke-on-Trent has secured a multimillion pound financial package from Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets. The company said it will use the funding to support its ongoing growth and development.
The funding package follows the company’s decision to transfer its day-to-day banking with Lloyds TSB.
Portmerion acquired the Spode and Royal Worcester brands in 2009.
Ian Fitzjohn, relationship director at Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with such a well-regarded local business which is hugely successful around the world.
"Having taken the time to get to know the business, we’ve developed a tailored financial package to suit its requirements and we look forward to building a strong relationship with Portmeirion’s team as the business continues to develop.”
The pottery group has an annual turnover of £43m and employs more than 500 people worldwide.
