JS Wright hears London calling

JS Wright has won the £300,000 contract to fit out a £4.5m mixed-use scheme in London. The Aston-based company will be working with Galliford Try on the six-storey former car repair workshop in Bow Common Lane.

The scheme comprises 31 shared ownership and affordable homes apartments managed by Swan Housing Group and ground floor commercial space.

JS Wright will install boilers, cold water services, above-ground soil and waste systems, and a gas distribution system.

Elizabeth Ellis, design and build coordinator for Galliford Try, said: “We chose JS Wright because of our successful previous experience of working with them to deliver residential schemes to a high-quality standard on time and within budget.”

Marcus Aniol, JS Wright managing director, said: “We are delighted to be able to contribute towards the development of a thriving local community within a modern environmentally friendly building in a major regeneration area of the capital.”

JS Wright recently won a £400,000 contract to provide the mechanical services for a hotel scheme in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The 73-bed, four-storey hotel is being constructed on the site of the former Ashfield Motors garage.
