Countrywide acquisition for Bruton Knowles
Property consultancy Bruton Knowles, based in Birmingham, has expanded with the acquisition of the specialist commercial property management team from Countrywide.
The companies will now operate out of Bruton Knowles’ Bull Street offices in Birmingham.
The deal also includes the sale of Bruton Knowles’ residential management business to Countrywide, in a move which sees the transfer of BK’s residential block management team to Countrywide in Coventry. Five Bruton Knowles staff will be joining Countrywide through a TUPE transfer.
Patrick Downes, head of operations at Bruton Knowles (BK), said: “We have acquired a strong commercial management business with an established client base and with significant scope to expand. The move forms a key part of Bruton Knowles’ strategic plan to grow our commercial management business and extend our market share, enabling us to capitalise on the opportunities in the sector.”
The former Countrywide team, headed by Steve Cox, joins BK with a significant range of properties under management including office, industrial, retail, mixed-use and agricultural, and more than 100 clients across the Midlands and further afield.
