Business school secures Chinese partnerships
Nottingham Business School has signed three new contracts with Chinese organisations in deals worth up to £600,000 per year. The contracts, designed to develop links between the UK and China, have the potential to bring in a total of up to £3m over three years.
As part of one deal, at least 15 senior executives from global communications companies, including mobile phone giant Motorola, will be undertaking a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) programme run by Nottingham Business School.
The business school, which is part of Nottingham Trent University, has also linked up with training consultancy Wunding Consulting (Shenzhen) for the recruitment of senior executives from the Chinese public sector to a Master of Public Administration (MPA) programme.
A feeder agreement has also been signed with the HND Centre at the School of International Education at Renmin University of China, one of the country’s main universities. Nottingham Business School will be providing top-up courses for students from their Higher National Diploma (HND) centre. Students will enrol on programmes such as International Business and Administration and Marketing Management to complement their studies in China.
Weili Teng, who leads the university’s MPA and DBA China programmes, said: “These are very important partnerships for us, as international relationships are a central part of the School and we keen to build on our already strong links with China. We’re looking forward to the opportunities that working with these key organisations will bring.”
