Castledine House officially opened
A £300,000 regeneration project has been officially opened in Ilkeston. Castledine House, which provides office space for start-up and small businesses, was developed by regeneration agency Erewash Partnership and grant-aided by the Derbyshire Economic Partnership.
The property, which comprises 11 units for small and medium sized businesses, was officially opened by Erewash MP Jessica Lee.
Partnership chief executive Ian Viles said the performance of small to medium enterprises in the borough made “a big contribution to local prosperity”.
He added: “The availability of high quality premises for local businesses is also crucial and for this reason the partnership set out to lead by example in developing Castledine House.”
Nine of the 11 units have already been let to small and start-up businesses in the region.
Last week, it was announced that fledgling company Lacey and Owen Architectural Services will move into the building alongside another new business, Claire Broughton Photography, which has leased a unit in the property for a studio and office.
Credencis, a company specialising in pensions, investments, equity release and long-term care planning, has also leased a unit in the property.
