Bonsers builds on The Lodge
Bonsers, the restoration specialist based in Nottingham, has completed renovation work on the grade II listed building The Lodge at Provident Works, Newdigate Street. The building will provide office space for small and medium sized businesses.
The refurbishment has improved the interior and entrance of the building, together with the installation of double glazing to all of its 153 windows.
Bonsers worked on improvements to The Lodge to restore the traditional brickwork. The company worked on the roof, the original stairwell - providing stainless steel handrails - and new lighting and door frames.
Jo Bonser of Bonsers said: “We are delighted to have worked on this project – we have over 47 years’ experience specialising in building restoration and conservation and we get a real buzz when buildings can be restored to something of their former glory.
“It is also great to be involved on a project to provide quality office space for small and medium sized businesses in the Nottingham area.”
The refurbishment was funded by the Greater Nottingham Partnership, Homes and Communities Agency and NRL.
Williams Architects carried out design work and project management services.
