Airport job for Anglo Holt

Anglo Holt, the West Bromwich based planning, design and construction specialist has turned developer to commit to a new £12.8m, 220-bedroom Travelodge hotel at Birmingham International Airport. The development is due for completion in summer 2011.

The new Travelodge will be the second largest hotel within the perimeter boundary of Birmingham International Airport and will bring the total number of Travelodge hotels completed and under construction by Anglo Holt Construction to 49.

Andy Elwell, Anglo Holt’s managing director, said: “The bold decision to create our own development arm was taken to facilitate investment opportunities with banks, institutions and funds on behalf of our clients.”

Birmingham property consultants Collingwood Rigby acted for Anglo Holt Construction which was represented in the negotiations by Cobbetts’ Birmingham legal team.
