Norbert Dentressangle drives home shed deal

Transport company Norbert Dentressangle has leased more than 140,000 sq ft of industrial space in Tamworth’s Centurian Park. Property agent King Sturge, joint agent on the scheme, said the deal confirmed the increasing demand for commercial sheds.

Property consultants King Sturge and Gerard Eve were joint agents on the scheme.

The France-based haulage company has taken a new lease on 141,770 sq ft at Centurian Park, where the asking rent was £5.00 per sq ft.

Carl Durrant, partner at King Sturge, said: “There is no doubt that the deal confirms the sector has been increasingly active since the end of 2009.

“However, it’s still a good time for occupiers to use their negotiating strength to strike good deals, as there is still a significant amount of space available, even in such hot-spots as Staffordshire.”

Richard Ludlow from Gerard Eve added: “Staffordshire has been a prime spot for logistics and distribution companies for the last decade, because it offers excellent access to motorways, has a solid and reliable labour pool, and rental levels are pitched at the right level.”
