Insider Shropshire Economic Forum - last few tickets remaining

Share | |

Insider’s economic debate road show returns to Shropshire this week, where an audience of local and regional businesspeople will discuss the challenges and opportunities that the county faces.

The Shropshire Economic Forum will take place on Thursday 16 September in Telford International Centre.

Conformed panellists include Ralph Early, head of food at Harper Adams University College and councillor Eric Carter, cabinet member for regeneration, housing and prosperity at Telford & Wrekin Council. They will join Keith Greetham, chair of Southwater Event Group, and Tom McCabe, director of development Services, Shropshire Council.

Last year, the Shropshire event reflected on the loss of Wrekin Construction. Since then other local firms have gone under, including fellow constructor Frank Galliers which was represented on the forum panel 12 months ago.

This year, the panel will examine where the local economy sits now. In broad terms, is its mixed nature a protection against the peaks and troughs in fortune experienced elsewhere in the Midlands?
