Loughborough brings together business and economics

Share | |

Loughborough University has launched the School of Business and Economics to strengthen its position as an “international leader in research and teaching across management, business and economics”.

The school brings together the activities managed by the business school, department of economics and the professional and management development centre. It is being led by Angus Laing, dean of business and economics.

He said: “Loughborough is operating at the cutting edge of academic research in areas such as microeconomics, human resource management and marketing, but our work is also intimately connected to the world of practice, having a direct impact on business and industry managers, policymakers and global organisations.”

Loughborough is a member of the 1994 Group of 19 leading research-intensive universities. The group was established to promote excellence in university research and teaching.
