Boyd joins Interfleet's Derby headquarters
Former South West Trains director, Rufus Boyd, has been recruited by international train consultancy, Interfleet Technology. Boyd joins the Derby-based consultancy from its Sydney office, where he held the post of deputy chief executive officer.
In his Sydney-based role, Boyd oversaw business planning, safety and quality systems, and business case development.
Prior to his appointment at Interfleet, Boyd worked as commercial director of South West Trains, where he sponsored the 2004 timetable change and the Class 458 fleet refurbishment.
Interfleet managing director David Rollin commented: “With more than 22 years of professional experience in the rail transport industry, Rufus has proven commercial and project directing skills and is an inspirational leader of teams.
“His track record in delivering business-focused results speaks for itself and we are delighted that he will be joining the group operation of Interfleet, adding his considerable expertise to an already formidable team of leaders in their field.”
