Avingtrans wins £5m a year Siemens contract
Avingtrans, the Nottingham-based engineering technology group, has revealed that its Metalcraft subsidiary has won a contract worth £5m a year to manufacture precision machined formers for Siemens' next generation Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems.
Once the product is in full production in 2012, the deal will be worth around £5m a year to Metalcraft, which is the company’s energy and medical division.
Steve McQuillan, chief executive of Avingtrans, said: "We are delighted to be entrusted by Siemens once again with the supply of critical precision vacuum vessel components for their next generation products.
"This demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Metalcraft to maintain its position as an efficient, high quality partner to Siemens Healthcare and underlines our credentials as a world-class supplier to leading OEMs in our chosen markets."
