ALTA bought by Majenta
ALTA Systems, provider of design software solutions based in Smethwick, has been acquired by Essex-based Majenta Solutions. Majenta said it intends to “invest immediately in West Midlands office space and training facilities”.
Majenta claims to be one of Europe’s leading providers of product development, manufacturing and product lifecycle information management software and IT infrastructure solutions.
Chris Dukes, managing director of ALTA Systems, said: “This is great news both for our customers and for our staff. Our core MCAD expertise together with Majenta’s industrial design solutions experience and their IT infrastructure and PLM services is a powerful and compelling story for customers.
"With the increased product and service offerings and greater geographical coverage that the merger brings, the future looks very exciting.”
Majenta said there will be no staff or contact changes at ALTA Systems.
Mike Reading, chairman of Majenta Solutions, added, “Majenta has a wide range of complementary design solutions which will map immediately onto ALTA System’s skill set. We intend to invest immediately in West Midlands office space and training facilities to allow for the expansion that this merger will bring.”
ALTA Systems will trade as a division of Majenta Solutions with immediate effect.
