Leicestershire coffee maker signs Harrods deal
Leicestershire coffee maker Shelton Imports has won an order with London department store Harrods. The Kibworth-based retailer sells flavoured Columbian coffee cubes online and have recently branched out to sell its products in coffee shops and restaurants.
The company, run by husband and wife team Steven and Ximena Shelton, was given a £400 investment package from the Food and Drink iNet.
The funding, which included innovation, support and guidance advice from the iNet, was put towards a new menu design. The company matched this support with its own investment.
Ximena Shelton, said: “The menu is a great showcase for what we sell. It’s helped us gain new customers in food service and was instrumental in us winning a contract to supply Harrods.
“It’s also helping me give a better service to delis and farm shops because I have also been able to create new point of sale material.”
Harrods will begin stocking Shelton’s products in October this year.
