Data Power expands with new division

Data Power, the Birmingham-based IT networking, infrastructure and electrical specialist, has invested £75K in expanding its business. The company aims to reach into the air conditioning sector after “direct demands” from its UK wide customer base.

The company, which is based in the King Norton Business Centre, has appointed Chris Haddon to head up the development of the new division.

Haddon, who has more than 30 years’ experience in air conditioning design and project management, will take on the role of air conditioning design manager.

He previously worked for a large multinational air conditioning and maintenance company for the last 20 years.

At Data Power, Haddon will be responsible for launching the new service service, which includes cooling, heating and ventilation to the firm’s current UK customer base.

He said: “Data Power Limited has found a niche offering, which will provide organisations requiring three major disciplines with one overall project manager.

“By linking IT networking, power and the air conditioning installation, we are offering a new tactical installation proposition, which avoids the common problems associated with appointing three separate contractors to work on one project.”
