Aesthetics wins Arsenal contract
Aesthetics, the staffing agency based in Coventry, has secured a £250,000 contract with Arsenal Football Club. The company’s recently opened Dubai office has also secured a deal with an Abu Dhabi-based football club following funding and business advice from Business Link West Midlands (BLWM).
The company won a contract to supply 75 corporate hosts and hostesses to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London for all home games during the 2010/11 season. Aesthetics has also been awarded preferred supplier status for all event staff at the recently opened Convention Centre in Dublin.
The Dubai office of the Electric Wharf-based company has also secured a contract with the Al Jazira Club to supply matchday hostesses.
Aesthetics managing director and founder Lee Thomas said that BLWM suggested that company expand into foreign markets. Thomas said that the Middle East was chosen because “the events industry is accelerating at a fast pace”.
He added: “In 2009 our turnover was down 30 per cent because the recession really hit the motor trade and hospitality industry, which are major markets for us. A year later and we’ve had our best ever start to a year, which is a great turnaround.”
