Transcend advises on international deal
Transcend Corporate, based in Birmingham, has advised on the sale of Data and Power Solutions (DPS) to US firm Geist Manufacturing. Using a new company co-owned by DPS’s managing director Theo Spittel, Nebraska-based Geist Manufacturing purchased a 50 per cent stake in Data and Power Solutions. DPS is a manufacturer of power distribution and environmental monitoring solutions,
Ian Curtis, managing director of Transcend Corporate, said: “It has been great to help Bill Hall realise his investment, especially because Transcend advised Bill on his original investment in 2002. The transaction has been complex, requiring steering through a period of moving exchange rates.”
Spittel, who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the partnership, said: “This is an ideal alliance. Both companies have a reputation for providing reliable custom-built power and monitoring solutions, fast turnaround production and personalised customer service.”
