Pallet manufacturer awarded Emda grant
Rettenmaier UK, a pallet manufacturer based in Mansfield, has been awarded a Grant for Business Investment (GBI) of £236,400. The grant is funded by the East Midlands Development Agency (Emda) and will allow the company to expand its facilities and increase its staff.
The investment is part of a £2.3m package to improve the company's premises at Crown Farm Business Park in Forest Town and purchase various plant and machinery.
The company produces Viatop pellets, which are used as a stabilising additive for stone mastic asphalt, which forms a thin-wearing course used in road construction. The project will create a further 15 jobs.
The company is part of the JRS Group, a large multinational business based in Germany.
GBI is one of the government’s Solutions for Business products and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
