Thirty-nine East Midlands businesses nominated for Family Awards
Thirty-nine businesses from across the East Midlands have reached the final stage of the Midlands’ first-ever Family Business Awards and now move forward to the final judging stage which takes place throughout September.
Leicester business Anand International, Chesterfield’s Penny Hydraulics and Whittaker Office Solutions of Loughborough have taken three of the five shortlisted slots for the headline Family Business of the Year Award. It will be judged by Tim Storer, managing director of Pukka Pies; Alistair Wesson of RSM Tenon; Emda’s John O’Reilly; and Charlotte Prow, MD of Wilsons, which is underwriting the awards.
Insider’s Sam Metcalf, joins Axa’s Andy Moore and Ron Lynch of the Institute of Directors to judge the Best Adviser to Family Businesses category.
All winners including the overall Family Business of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony on the 11 November 2010, at the family-owned Thrumpton Hall near Nottingham.
