William de Broe to continue Birmingham expansion
William de Broe, the Birmingham-based subsidiary of the Evolution bank, has said that it intends “to further expand as conditions allow” following a 22 per cent rise in its parent company’s operating profit to £4.5m.
Evolution revealed its results for the six months ending 30 June this morning. Its operating profit rose from £3.7m over the past year.
Adrian Quin, office head of William de Broe, said: “Although volatility has remained in investment markets, confidence has been returning and trading has reflected that.
“Like the UK economy is showing growth despite all the fears over public sector cutbacks, so we continue to do so too.
“We are very pleased with the office’s performance and remain confident about the future of the business in the Midlands. It is our intention to further expand as conditions allow.”
The Birmingham office of Williams de Broe moved its 42 staff after agreeing to take 5,600 sq ft in the Colmore Plaza complex earlier this year.
Quin added: “Colmore Plaza has proved to be a fantastic move. We were bursting at the seams in our old place at One Colmore Row. It has provided our staff with much improved facilities while allowing us to remain in the heart of the city centre.”
