Punch awards £5m comms contract
Punch Taverns, the Staffordshire-based pub company, has awarded a contract which is expected to generate revenues in excess of £5m to business communications service provider SpiriTel. Over the three-year contract, SpiriTel will provide its voice and data services to more than 800 of the group’s taverns.
The contract is SpiriTel’s largest to date.
SpiriTel will provide a wide area data network and hosted IP telephony service to the Punch taverns. The service is expected to cover 5,000 connections across the pubco’s managed estate.
Bob Broadbridge, chief information officer of Punch Taverns, said: "We were very impressed with SpiriTel's proposal, which gave us the technical solution we need with a great service proposition and value for money. We were also impressed with their track record in the hospitality sector.
"We are looking forward to forging a closer working relationship with SpiriTel as we ensure our estate remains appropriately serviced in this rapidly evolving technological environment."
Punch currently operates 7,100 sites across the UK.
