SCS expands into Birmingham
SCS Group, the building services company based near Caerphilly, is to set up its first English Midlands outpost, at Longbridge near Birmingham.
The SCS base at the Innovation Centre in Longbridge Technology Park will be a further foothold in England after it opened an office in central London. The new site will allow SCS to work with more mechanical and electrical contractors in the Midlands. The company specialises in building management, ventilation and smoke control.
Managing director Allan Meek said: “The Birmingham office is the next step in helping us to achieve our ambitious growth plans. It will also help us expand our client base in a potentially lucrative market given that there is an estimated £17.5bn worth of investment planned over the next 10 years in Birmingham, £12bn in the city centre alone."
He added: “We are seeing an increased demand for integrated building management solutions where everything from ventilation to energy management is all controlled on one network."
