Carpets of Kidderminster enters administration
Worcestershire carpet manufacturer, Carpets of Kidderminster, has entered administration. The company announced the news on its website, and said that Andrew Fender had been appointed administrator.
The company, based in Stourport, has been trading for more than 70 years. It is understood to employ around 120 people.
Andrew Fender of Sanderlings LLP has taken on the role of administrator for the business and is currently managing its affairs and property. However, it is not clear whether Fender has been mandated to sell the business.
Reports suggest that 50 workers will lose their jobs as a result of the administration.
The last recorded accounts at the business are for the year to 28 February 2007. The accounts revealed revenues of £9m.
