US lender lands in the Midlands
American-based Interface Financial Group (IFG), which provides working capital to small businesses, is developing its business in the Midlands for the first time. Hagley-based David Pearce has been hired as an area developer for the 40-year-old company which provides a "money as you go" service to businesses which find it difficult to attract conventional funds.
Pearce, who has 25 years' experience in building businesses, said: "More than ever small businesses need quick access to cash, particularly in the current climate. But many firms find it hard to get the help they need from banks and financial institutions.
“Factoring companies represent a way around cash flow issues, but these usually involve long term contracts, large set up, and management fees where customers are tied in for a specified period."
IFG has more than 100 offices worldwide and claims to be the "largest alternative funding source for small and medium sized businesses" in the United States.
