Housebuilder Barratt says construction has begun on its 108-home development near Wolverhampton. Coalville-based Barratt said the seven-acre site will be completed in 2013.

The development, named The Bridles, is in Bell Lane, Bloxwich, located about five miles north-east of Wolverhampton. It is being completed by the housebuilder’s West Midlands office.

The first phase of properties at The Bridles should be built by October to be ready to move into in spring 2011. It is estimated that the full site will be complete by 2013.

Once completed, the development will comprise more than 100 two, three and four-bedroom properties.

Katie Yates, sales manager for Barratt West Midlands, said: "The Black Country has always been a key area for us and we are still experiencing very high demand for new homes in the area."
