Chasing the American Dream
Chase distillery, based in Herefordshire, has appointed Pelican Brands to market its range of spirits in the US. The distillery is hoping its Chase Vodka brand will be a success across the pond.
Chase - which won the accolade of the “World’s Best Vodka” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition this year - has identified the US as potentially its largest growth area.
The Chase distillery is housed in a converted hop kiln barn surrounded by acres of fields of potatoes, apple orchards and Herefordshire cattle.
The first bottle of Chase English Potato Vodka was launched on 1 April 2008 and took two years to make. It claimes to be the only English potato vodka in the world.
J Smoke Wallin, chairman of Pelican Brands, said: “We are building a very exciting and powerful portfolio of spirit brands and the opportunity to partner with the ‘world’s best’ vodka was too good to miss. More important than the award is the deep integrity and care with which Chase brands are made.”
