HRH on green journey to Birmingham
The Prince of Wales will visit Birmingham’s "Working Towards a Smarter Future" environment event at Millennium Point next month. Prince Charles is making the journey to launch his "Start" scheme in the West Midlands.
The Prince’s visit comes on the fourth day of his national Start tour - 9 September. The tour, which takes the Prince on the Royal Train to ten different locations throughout Britain, aims to "celebrate" sustainable community living.
As part of his visit to the West Midlands, HRH will hear the views and opinions of 70 young people about the future at a "Preparing for a Smart Future" event and tour the "Smarter Working and Living Exhibition" with Professor Julia King, Vice-Chancellor of Aston University.
During the tour, the prince will see a display of green vehicles and stands from 25 business and community groups from across the region showing how people can live more sustainably in their workplaces and communities.
