BJS expands with 60 new jobs
BJS Distribution, the specialist distribution company based in Walsall, is set to recruit a further 60 employees following coaching sessions from support scheme Winning Opportunities in Walsall (WOW).
The company says it will increase its 25 staff to “between 80 and 100” over the next 12 to 18 months.
BJS, which was set up in August 2009, says the WOW scheme has helped improve its business model, as well as helping the company streamline its operations, reduce waste processes and increase profitability.
The company, which is based in Phoenix Business Park in the town, also re-organised its management and operational structure following the coaching.
Mack Basra, managing director of BJS, said: “It has been great to receive advice from an experienced source that has no ulterior motive. It has allowed us to take a fresh look at the business and really focus our efforts on the things that matter and cut down on wasted time and resources.
“Our new financial forecast and marketing plan have resulted from this re-evaluation and our company position has been considerably strengthened.”
The company now has a projected turnover for its first year‘s trading of £600,000.
