Calman joins Wesleyan advisory board
Financial care group Wesleyan, based in Birmingham, has appointed Professor Sir Kenneth Calman to its "medical sickness advisory board". Sir Kenneth will be the ninth member of the board.
In his new role, Sir Kenneth is to offer "insight and advice" to help Wesleyan provide financial advice, products and services to medical professionals.
Sir Kenneth, who is currently chancellor of the University of Glasgow, has a long medical career history and is a fellow of several academic and professional bodies including the Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Surgeons.
Previously, he worked as chief medical officer for both Scotland and London. He served as chairman of the executive board of the World Heath Organisation.

The Wesleyan medical sickness advisory board comprises Professor Sir Brian Jarman, Professor Parveen Kumar, Sir Roger Vickers, Dr Ernest Armstrong, Dr Judy Gilley, Dr John Canning, Ralph Davies and Shalin Mehra.
