2,000 boilers to be installed in Jephson homes
Jephson Homes Housing Association, based in Leamington Spa, has signed a multi-million pound deal to replace the boilers and heating systems in about 2,000 of its homes across the country over the next five years.
The housing association, which also has an office in Dudley, has signed up three contractors – Nottingham-based J Tomlinson, Dodd Group which is based in Telford, and Preston-based Forrest – to carry out the work.
The contractors will be responsible for installing new and environmentally-friendly boilers or entire central heating systems in Jephson properties where the old heating systems are in need of replacement.
James Puchoras, programme maintenance officer at Jephson, said: “This deal gives us better value for money - we are taking on specialist heating contractors to carry out this work, rather than having the work sub-contracted out by our main contractor.”
