Change at the top of Lincoln Business Club
Lincoln Business Club has appointed its first female chairman. It comes following the retirement of Eddie Strengiel, who stepped down after six years. Nicki Gray, who is chief executive of business development and support company Blinc, was elected at the club’s AGM.
Strengiel, who was one of the founding members of the club, said “it was time to step down” after six years at the top.
Gray, who has held the position of club secretary for the past three years, said she wanted to build on the success that Strengiel had put in place. She also said she wanted to get more involved “in the issues affecting local business people such as the transport links between Lincoln and London”.
Gray added: “This is a day of mixed emotions as although I’m delighted to be the new chairman, I am very sad to see Eddie go and on behalf of the club’s 550 members I would like to thank him for all his hard work.”
