Architect moves to Digbeth
Archial Architects has relocated its Birmingham office to the Walker Building in Digbeth. The architectural practice, which has 17 offices throughout the UK, has taken a new 10-year lease for 7,074 sq ft of first-floor office space.
The company, which was represented by property adviser Savills, is the fourth biggest architectural practice in the UK.
Mike Guppy, director at Archial Architects, said: “Due to the increasing profile of the work undertaken from the Birmingham office and the growing size of our client base, we wanted a statement building from which to operate. The Walker Building meets our current brief while also providing our practice with room to grow.”
Digbeth has seen increased levels of development and occupier activity over the past two years, including Rare Games’ acquisition of 10,000 sq ft of offices at Fazeley Studios and DBK Back’s move into 8,000 sq ft of offices alongside Glenn Howells Architects in Bradford Street.
