Grady takes Co-op finance job
David Grady has been appointed chief financial officer of Midlands Co-operative Society.
The vacancy was created after Martyn Cheatle took up the position of chief executive earlier this year. Grady has more than 20 years’ financial experience across a variety of sectors, and most recently held the position of head of finance at Tarmac. Prior to this he was chief operating officer for Donaldsons.
Grady said: "As the UK’s largest independent retail co-operative, Midlands Co-operative is already a strong player across all of its diverse businesses and I believe that there are significant opportunities to leverage the unique co-operative band values further.
“On a personal level, I am also looking forward to being part of an organisation which believes so fundamentally in engaging with its local communities.”
