Yorkshire Park holiday site in £2.5m deal

Share | |

The Yorkshire Dales Park holiday site in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, has been sold to the Peterborough-based Lifestyle Living Group in a deal worth more than £2.5m. The company says it will begin a £10m investment group programme to develop the site into luxury holiday homes.

The group says it will create five new jobs through its latest acquisition, which is the third in as many months.

Lifestyle Living Group’s owner and chairman, Tony Barney said the group “moved fast” when it heard the park had gone on the market.

He added: “Leyburn is the latest part of our buy and build expansion strategy. We have bought this beautiful location out of administration from Allerway Leisure and we intend to promptly transform it into a five star park location.

"We are going to turn it into an upmarket development. This is just the latest piece of our expansion jigsaw and we are looking for similar deals across the country.”

The advisers on the deal were Hacking Ashton and Grant Thornton.
