Rushcliffe makes care home purchase

The Rushcliffe Care Group, based in Loughborough, has acquired The Boulters, a group of specialist care provider based in Kent. The sum of the purchase was not disclosed but funding was provided by Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets.

Rushcliffe is one of the UK's largest independent care home operators and caters for a range of care needs across the UK including learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and rehabilitation, challenging behaviours, specialist nursing services and dementia care.

The Boulters, which was founded in 1995, specialises in the care of young people with emotional and behavioural problems and learning difficulties. It is run by Tony and Julie Boulter and comprises five registered homes, five supported living properties and a learning and skills centre.

Greenhalgh Corporate Finance structured, negotiated and led the deal, while Midlands’ solicitors Keelys provided legal advice.

The vendor was advised by Anthony Richardson of Ford Campbell Corporate Finance and Matt Fleetwood of Heatons LLP.
