Intelligent move to Holywell Park

Share | |

Intelligent Energy, the Loughborough based business which specialises in the development and application of clean power systems, has moved into its new premises in the town's Holywell Park.

The total cost of the move is over £8.5m and it is expected to create approximately 130 full-time equivalent jobs across the business over time.

The business received a Grant for Business Investment (GBI) of £800,000 from Emda last year to support the equipping of their new premises.

Intelligent Energy, which was previously based in the Innovation Centre on the Loughborough University campus, employs more than 100 members of staff.

The company's products are used for various applications within its four key markets - aerospace and defence; distributed generation and portable power; oil and gas and motive.

The company says that its move to Holywell park will enable it to “continue its growth and expand its business operations” in producing bespoke clean fuel cell power systems for its blue chip clients, which include Boeing, Suzuki, Scottish & Southern Energy and Airbus.
