Browne Jacobson announces profit rise
Browne Jacobson has reported a 7.2 per cent rise in turnover to £32.9m for the year ending 30 April 2010. All three of the law firm’s offices in Birmingham, Nottingham and London generated revenue growth.
The company has recently invested in its office and recruited four additional partners and 28 lawyers. This brings the total number of legal staff at the firm to 259 with 69 partners.
Managing partner Iain Blatherwick said: “Given the difficult trading conditions we are very pleased with this healthy return to growth. We have not increased our headline rates for three years now so the growth is genuinely delivered from people working harder.
"A steady rise in instructions from new public and private sector clients, as well as our long standing and loyal client base, has also been a major contributing factor and bodes well for the future.”
