Lovell builds on £13m contracts
Housebuilder Lovell has been awarded two contracts totalling more than £13m to carry out housing modernisation work for Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) over the next 12 months. The Staffordshire-based company is to first refurbish 1,250 homes in the north-east and east of Glasgow – including Ruchazie, Cranhill, Milton and Royston – carrying out work worth £5.3m.
The improvement programme will involve the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms and rewiring.
In the second contract, the company will undertake a £8m external refurbishment scheme carrying out roofing and rendering work to around 500 homes in the north-east and east of the city in areas including Bridgeton, Riddrie and Craigend.
The contracts are the latest to be awarded through the framework agreement which Lovell has with GHA to carry out modernisation work to the housing association’s stock.
“We are excited to be continuing our partnership with Glasgow Housing Association to deliver these latest improvement schemes which will make a major difference for residents,” says Lovell regional director Alan Taylor. “Our team is committed to providing a high-quality service and ensuring that we deliver excellent results for our customers.”
