Companies to meet with investors
Public-private partnership (PPP) Connect Midlands is on the lookout for "high-growth businesses" seeking funding to showcase at its November conference. The organisation, which supports companies gaining investment through training, networking and monitoring, says it has helped more than 250 companies raise £200m-worth of investment since 2001.
The PPP is now offering firms a platform at the tenth annual Connect Midlands Investment Conference (CMIC).
John Griffiths, director of Connect Midlands, said: “We are looking to identify top quality prospective companies over the summer. We will then run a workshop to review their strategic cases on 1 September, followed by assistance on their business plans with a workshop at the end of September, before the usual final assessment panels in October.
"If selected, companies will then have the opportunity to present to investors at CMIC, fully prepared.”
Connect Midlands is backed by backed by East Midlands Development Agency, Advantage West Midlands via Business Link, ERDF, University of Warwick and 24 private sector sponsors.
