Topps reveals quarterly results
Tile and wood flooring specialist, Topps Tiles, has announced a decline in overall revenue across the 13 weeks to 3 July of 2.5 per cent.
Like-for-like revenue has also declined by 1.2 per cent, an improvement of the Leicester-based company’s performance during the period in 2009, when like-for-like revenue was down 10.9 per cent.
However, the company has improved its performance in the last seven weeks.
The firm’s half year results announced on 2 June 2010 reported that for the first seven weeks trading of the third financial quarter, overall group revenues declined 5.1 per cent, with like-for-like revenues declining by 4.3 per cent.
The company trades from 310 stores throughout the UK, having opened eight new sites this year, and closed or relocated seven.
