Travelodge and Tesco development approved
Birmingham City Council has granted planning permission for a new hotel and supermarket development in the city centre.
The site will include an 88-bedroom Travelodge hotel and a 4,000 sq ft Tesco Express building on the ground floor. The two buildings will be situated on the former Marks and Spencer’s car park on Carrs Lane, Birmingham.
Developer Realis Estates, which worked with agents Wright Silverwood to secure the planning permission, is looking to start construction on the development in summer 2010.
