Midlands companies acquired by Indian firms
Two Midlands-based companies have been acquired by two India-based firms in separate transactions. Oakside Solutions, the Birmingham-based steel producer which was trading as Servosteel, has been acquired by Essar Steel in Mumbai. On the same day, Barwood Products, the manufacturer and supplier of bathroom products based in Nottingham, was acquired by HSIL, the Gurgayon-based manufacturer of sanity products. The fees of both acquisitions were undisclosed.
