NMC finishes fire station
The building division of Nottinghamshire-based North Midland Construction has finished work on a new £5.5m community fire station near Barnsley. Dearne Valley Fire Station, situated on a 3.5-acre site in Cudworth, east of Barnsley, provides accommodation for four fire engines. It is also home to a training facility for the fire service’s Technical Rescue Unit and a community room. The station has been under construction since May 2009.
